New Online Series: “Conversations in Transregional Art Histories”

The research program Art Histories and Aesthetic Practices of the Forum Transregionale Studien has launched a new online format: Conversations in Transregional Art Histories. It aims to open art historical studies to a global horizon, beyond the traditional boundaries of the discipline. The online series features multimedia contributions, in which Art Histories Fellows and guests of the program working in the field of transregional art and architectural history present and discuss their research topics.

It will be updated regularly with new video and audio content and can be found on: http://www.art-histories.de/en/medien/conversations.html

The series starts with a talk between Darcy Grimaldo Grigsby and Sugata Ray (both University of California, Berkeley) that was recorded following the Art Histories event “Body and Empire. A Conversation” at the Forum Transregionale Studien and that was hosted by Peter Webb (Art Histories Fellow 2014/2015).
