Winter Academy: “Inequality, Education and Social Power”

The international and interdisciplinary Winter Academy “Inequality, Education and Social Power: Transregional Perspectives” will take place in Berlin from November 16-25, 2014. Here, doctoral and postdoctoral fellows will present their research in the fields of area studies, economics, educational sciences, history, political sciences, development studies, sociology and postcolonial studies. The topics that will be discussed range from public-private partnerships in elementary education in Delhi to the role of education in exclusion processes in Germany. With scholars coming from Asia, Africa, South America and Europe the academy offers diverse insights into an interesting field of research.
The Winter Academy is hosted by the Forum Transregionale Studien and the Max Weber Stiftung in cooperation with the Max Weber Foundation Transnational Research Group “Poverty and Education in Modern India.”
